The distance between Amboise and Chenonceau is the kind you can cover comfortably on an e-bike in a morning, and the route runs through vineyards and river country rather than along a main road. What changes is not the châteaux — they are the same châteaux — it is the space between them, which stops being dead time and becomes half the reason you came.
